Currently have Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 SBS installed.

We currently have two offices with the same email suffix eg firstname.secondname@company.co.uk

When we send emails from office A to office B the emails are not delivered, instead they are delivered to the administrator account at office A.

However we receive their emails, It is as if any emails sent to people not listed in the active directory are not delivered. It doesn't seem to search past the directory.  Although emails sent to other companys are all delivered.

No error reports are produced and no returned or undeliverable messages are received. The messages just dont seem to get delivered (they just go to the administrator instead)

I have checked numerous settings to no avail. the setting to filter senders/receipients not in active direcory is unticked and still the problem remains.

Does anyone have any ideas

Hi John

Do you want to give us the domain so we can have a look at how the MX records are setup?  Or cut and copy a nslookup.

Im presuming both servers are in two different physical locations?

Ben

Hi Ben

I think I may have sorted it but if it doesnt work I will let you know.
It appears that the catchall script was diverting emails sent to office B to the administrator if the suffix was not in the active directory.  Ive disabled it for now

If it doesnt solve it ill send you the mx stuff you requested
