Hi
I have an Exchange 2003 Server with SP2 installed on a Two Node Active Passive Windows 2003 Cluster.Exchange HTTP Virtual Server instance fails once the exchange resources failover to Node2 on the cluster with the error in Application log as below;
Source:MSExchangeCluster
Event=Error
Event ID;1003
Description:Exchange HTTP Virtual Server Instance 100(exchcluster):Failed to bring the resource online.
On moving the Exchange resources back to Node1 ,All the resources come online including the Exchange HTTP Virtual Server.Both the Nodes are running Symantec scan mail for exchange.
Need your help.

Regards
Imran

I would isolate the node2 , start by disable the  Symantec and run this tool.
It's wonderful, it's free, you simply must try the ExBPA.  The name says it all: Exchange Server Best Practice Analyzer and you get it from Microsoft.  Not only is the ExBPA a serious tool, which scans Exchange for weaknesses, but it's also a fun tool, which prompts you to learn as you improve your servers performance.
Then microsoft exchange troubleshoot asistance tool.
