Hello. I have an Ex03 server that we have been running on for about 4 years now. I have deployed an Ex07 server. I ran all the switches (PrepareLegacyExchangePermissions, PrepareSchema and PrepareAD) and the special Administrative group with it's routing connector was created. All seems OK.
I can send mail from a mailbox on the 03 server to a mailbox on the 07 server. But nothing from the 07 server makes it back to the 03 server. Everything sits in this long queue: cn=domainname, cn=routing groups,cn=domainname,cn=administrative groups....etc, with a delivery type of SmtpRelayToTiRg, which I know is the relay to send mail back to the Ex03 server.
The last error on this queue according to the 07 Queue Viewer is "451 4.4.0 Primary target IP address responded with: '451 5.7.3 Cannot achieve Exchange Server authentication'...."
I have searched the net for an answer, but not sure how to resolve. I am not entirely certain the problem is not on the 03 server. Any help appreciated.

Integrated Windows Authentication was not turned on, on my Default SMTP Virtual Server.....go figure!?
