Hi, Is it possible to automatically save sent items in a shared users sent items folder? at the moment when our users reply to mail in the shared users inbox the sent mail goes into the users sent items rather than the shared users sent items. I know a rule can be created to move/copy the users sent mail to the shared users sent items, but is it possible to do this without using rules?

No. By design, the outbound item goes into the Sent Items folder of the primary mailbox configured in the Outlook profile regardless of the sending address.

Hi Uemurad, Along the same thread, can you please make your recommendation for this scenario: I have an office with 25 staff split over 4 departments. Each member of each department have access to a shared inbox for their department and respond to emails that fall under their expertise. How do we set it all up so that each user can see all the emails that have been sent? At the moment they are just stored locally and anything solution involving filter rules or BCCs just seems a bit clumsy. I imagine this is pretty common enviroment among support teams and call centers etc. What's the prescribed solution here? Thanks, Adrian.

Hi, You can delegate the group of users on shared mailbox's "Sent Items" folder. So every user of HR deparment will have Read permissions on Sent Items folder of the HR departments shared mailbox. PD

Hi, Thanks for your time. This 3rd party software looks like the best solution so far - we'll give that a go! Regards, Adrian.
