CDIT -> Security Certificate for Outlook Anywhere (4.Feb.2008 1:46:19 AM)

I am trying to impliment Outlook Anywhere and seem to be having issues getting it working, can someone give me and overview of the steps ? I have several guides and have previously set it up on a Windows 2003 network with Exchange Server 2003 but having a hell of a time getting it working on a Windows 2003 network with Exchange Server 2007.
2 DC's (both Global cat)
2 File Sservers
1 Exchange Server Win2003 64bit, IIS, Cert Auth is installed here.
I am creating our own security certificate using the wizard and it is in the form of mail.companyname.com
Note: I did the Exchange Server 2003 several months ago and i used a tool to change the registry for the ports, is this needed on Exchange Server 2007?

A few key components:

-Install the RPC / HTTPS component from Add/Remove programs | Install Windows Components (make sure you tune the authentication settings in the RPC Vitual Directory nested in the Default Web Site in IIS)

-You only need modify registy settings if your CAS role is on the same physical box as the Mailbox role

-Use the E2K7 EMC to Enable Outlook Anywhere: Expand Server Configuration | click Client Access from the left pane | Highlight the CAS server in the objects pane | click Enable Outlook Anywhere from the Actions pane and wait 15-20 minutes for the settings to propagate

If you're going to make use of the OAB, OOF and Autodiscover features, and you are using a cert that is diffent from the one installed during the initial CAS role intallation, then you need to re-configure some of those new Exchange 2007 "services" from the Power Shell. Here is a good reference:

I hope this helps.
