I am trying to restore a backup to a recovery storage group using Netbackup. I am also trying to restore this backup to a different drive. I have followed the instructions here http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/281259.htm and continue to get errors:

I have tried restoring everything to it's original location (Microsoft Information Store:\First Storage Group\) and to a new location (Microsoft Information Store:\Recovery Storage Group\). Neither location works. Not sure what I am doing wrong but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tom,

maybe you already found this article, but it's the first useable link I found.
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/277188.htm

Hope it helps.

Thanks Alex -

Actually it was a netbackup client\server version mismatch. Client was 5.0 and server is 5.1. Found it here: https://forums.symantec.com/syment/board/message?board.id=21&message.id=41055&query.id=38577#M41055

Also I did not share my external drive as mentioned here: http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/272543.htm

Tom
