Cannot post using Firefox (Full Version)

When I try to post a message on the forum I used my default browser, ie Firefox 2.0.0.12, the latest version available today.
Unfortunately I cannot post. The response from the board is that I have not enough permission to perform such an action.
Using IE7, I have no problem as you can tell by readingthis post.

Any suggestions why this may happen?
I have no experience whatsoever using this site. As such I cannot tell whether itis with this FF version only.
My OS is WinXP SP2, up-to-date with patches.

When the Firefox is used to post to the Forums the post editing pane is grayed out i.e. it seems that you cannot type in it. Also there is no blinking cursor that would indicate that you can start typing. What you have to do is simply click in the grayed out post editing pane and start typing.

“Either the feature is disabled, or you do not have sufficient permission” message pertains to “File” upload.

Yes indeed, that is the case. Quite extraordinary, but OK one has to experience it and than there is no problem whatsoever. Development folks of the BB product however might be interested in the real solution.

BTW When typing this reply the message did not (yet) disappear....
Hope it works when I Submit ;)

Hi Jan,

Yes, it’s true, it might be a bit confusing at first but I am sure you won’t experience any problems when actually submitting the post so I hope that’s fine.

The message “Either the feature is disabled, or you do not have sufficient permission” is not going to disappear because as I mentioned in my previous post it concerns the file upload feature, which is disabled in the Forums i.e. it will show regardless which browser is used to post to Forums  :).
