HI
I have a proble in Autodiscover service
that when I ran a test from the Outlook 2007 for autodisvoer
the following result shown
http://www.up.5alid.com/up/uploads/eea19601b5.jpg

when I try to access the site using the HTTP only I got This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.
I check the IIS\autodiscover service\Security Tab and found that the Basic auth is enabled
I check the permission and I see that the authenitcated users have read
then why Autodiscover unable to communicate
but when I try to connect over HTTPS and after I type the user name and the password I got a Error Code 600 Invalid request ( as I know that this mean that everything is fine) the code is XML
why Outlook is unable to connect
Thanks

Almost certainly something isn't right with the autodiscover setup. I would suggest that you start with this blog posting on Autodiscover: http://exchange-genie.blogspot.com/2007/07/autodiscover-ad-attribute.html

That will allow you to check that autodiscover is configured correctly.

Simon.

HI and thanks for the reply
I run the command
test-outlookwebservice |select message
and I got these errors

Message
-------
About to test AutoDiscover with the e-mail address Administrator@Doamin.com.
Testing server Exchange.domain.com with the published name https://exchange.domain.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx & .
Found a valid AutoDiscover service connection point. The AutoDiscover URL on this object is http://exchange.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml.
When contacting http://exchange.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml received the error The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.
The Autodiscover service could not be contacted.

I will read the artical you send
but It seem that there is a problem in the IIS Permission

Have you changed the permissions on the autodiscover directly? If you have then you could reset it by recreating the autodiscover directory using EMC.

This is the Technet article on recreating the autodiscover directory: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996418(EXCHG.80).aspx

HI all
This is the fix for the problem
Sembee, THanks for the artical you offer
its really nice and helpfull

what I discover that is the Autodiscover was running on HTTP and also the OAB are running on HTTP
that make the outlook unable to connect to the Autodiscover service and not even to the OAB making the problem of sync issue that come with very diffient number
the following commands help in finishing the problem
get-autodiscovervirtualdirectory |set-autodiscovervirtualdirectory -autodiscoverserviceinternaluri "https:\\MyExchangeServer.Domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml"
and also set the OAB to work on HTTP:
I notice that when I run the command
Get-OABvirtualdirectory |fl internalurl,name
the site was http://exchange.domain.com/OAB
so change it using
get-oabvirtualdirectory |set-oabvirtualdirectory -internalurl httpS://exchange.domain.com/OAB

run the commands
get-addresslist |update-addresslist
and then
update-globaladdresslist -id:"Default Global Address list"

Do a Full OAB download and enjoy your outlook without problems

THanks all for your help
