4m whr i ll get that option so that i can do online?i didnt get that.

You should be able to click where it says "Offline" to get a menu.

in this case,my certificate name is "ssiexchsrvr"

Odd that it's a single name on the cert. Typically it's configured for the FQDN of the mail server.

As someone suggested before, you should probably run the Exchange Best Practices Analyzer to verify there no issues with the Exchange setup. This can be found in the EMC under Toolbox.

yes,i run BPA tool,nw everythn is fine with BPA tool..n setup.
n i am nt going to change the internal URL.

C,i want to connect outlook from client machine to exchange server,for internal mail flow,is it necessary to create MX records?i dnt v an idea.n at client machine,wat i did,i installed office 2003,n 4m controll panel,go to mail->email accounts->add new email account->microsoft exchange server->microsoft exchange server n username->....after that it cant contact to the exchange server.
im getting this error"
this action could nt be completed,the connection to the microsoft server is unavailable,outlook must be online or connected to this action pane."

You don`t need a MX record for internal Mail. It seems to my that you have a DNS problem, check your DNS console to see if you have a A record for your Exchange server. Have you checked the logs on your Exchange yet? Maybe a service is stopped. Can also be that Outlook works in Offline mode, you can see it under on your screen on the right sideif you see Offline you can click there and choose for Online. Try also to ping to the Exchange, also check if the Microsoft firewall service is running, you should stop this service and disable it because you have a hardware firewall, right?

He/she already confirmed DNS resolves on the client machine in this thread. Maybe you didn't see it because of the multiple duplicate posts. I also already mentioned the Offline/Online mode.

Hi,
i did for OWA,i would like to tell u in details.
1st:in EMC,server configuration->client access->OWA->properties,i put https://ssiexchsrvr.sivasystems.com/owa for internal and external URL.
thn,i checked in DNS server that there is a A record exists for my exchange server"ssiexchsrvr".
thn i go to IIS manager,remove THE "require SSL settings on the default web site"
On home directory page,redirect to "https://external URL/OWA" and check "a directory below URL entered".
In this case,for me,internal and external URL,both r same for me.So,is it ok?
next,wat i did,i go to OWA virtual directory properties,make sure that SSL &128 BIT encryption is required.
then 4m the cmd line on my exchange server,i do an "IISRESET /NOFORCE"
Now,i test by going to "https://ssiexchsrvr.sivasystems.com/owa",
i can open this page only 4m exchange server ,not 4m any machine.
So,plz tell me where i did the mistake????????

Thanks...now mail flow n OWA is working inside our network.
Now,i want to configure internet mail flow.But i dont have any edge transport server.So,
i want to configure my hub transport server for internet mail flow.
Plz help me out,can u plz tell me step by step?wat i need to do?/

You should take the time to learn about Exchange instead of asking people what to do step by step. The Exchange server includes both a checklist for setting it up post-install in the ESM, and a ton of documentation on what you're asking about. You will need to setup a Connector to send/recieve internet mail. Try actually looking it up and learning something, there are tons of posts on this forum that have already covered most of it. If you run into a jam, try researching it yourself before begging everyone to help you. If that fails, post and ask.

And please, stop double posting.
