Hello,
I am completing an 03 to 07 migration. The server OS is 2003 64bit. Exchange 2007, Sp1, Rollout package update 1.
Several users outside the organization are getting message bound for my mail server bounced back with the following error:
smtp;554 5.6.0 STOREDRV.Deliver; Corrupt message
>>content
The internal users never receive the e-mail so obviously this is more than a nuisance.
Any ideas?

hi mate,
Check is there any antivirus or scanning like content filtering is going on by third party vendor, make sure they are full updated. i never met with this sort of situation but however based on search most of the information is driving to AV only.
Even check wether you have latest update for exchange 2007 also.

Thank you for the quick response. We are up to date with all MS OS patches and Exchange server patches/sp's. We use Trend Micro Scan mail and patches/updates have been applied.
I have dropped the scanmail services for testing and the issue remains.

hi mate,
I would suggest you to stop all the services of trend and see that.
you can use get-transportagent and see that is there any agent is running related to scan mail\trend and then try to disable those service.

Here is what is listed with that command - even after stopping the scanmail services:

He is the cause for your email : ScanMail Routing Agent
Please disable him and test it out

The services were disabled and the machine rebooted. The same isue persists.

It might be a dump question, but check out the priority and status.
like status is showing disabled.
and keep it as last priority as possible

you need to set ScanMail Routing Agent to disable and give a try because it is still showing true
