Hello Everyone, I have come to a snag while installing an exchange 2007 server to migrate my existing 2003 environment. Here is the environment: Windows 2003 Domain running Exchange 2003 SP2 Installed a new server with Windows 2003 R2 64bit. Will be running as a domain controller as well as an exchange 2007 server (I'm aware this is not ideal) The server was prepped with the instructions on this website from the wonderful articles written. I was in the middle of the exchange 2007 install and this error came up: quote:
[ERROR] Failed to register the content filter. [4/19/2008 12:10:20 PM] [2] [ERROR] The image file %1 is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine [4/19/2008 12:10:21 PM] [1] The following 1 error(s) occurred during task execution: [4/19/2008 12:10:21 PM] [1] 0. ErrorRecord: Failed to register the content filter. [4/19/2008 12:10:21 PM] [1] 0. ErrorRecord: Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Common.LocalizedException: Failed to register the content filter. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The image file %1 is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at Microsoft.Exchange.Management.SystemConfigurationTasks.ContentFilterRegistration.InternalProcessRecord() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- [4/19/2008 12:10:21 PM] [1] [ERROR] Failed to register the content filter. [4/19/2008 12:10:21 PM] [1] [ERROR] The image file %1 is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine [4/19/2008 12:10:21 PM] [1] Setup is halting task execution because of one or more errors in a critical task. [4/19/2008 12:10:21 PM] [1] Finished executing component tasks. [4/19/2008 12:10:21 PM] [1] Ending processing. I have tried everything to look up what this error could be and the error keeps mentioning that it is related to a 32 bit problem, although I don't see how this is possible as the server is running 64bit windows, the ISO i downloaded is 64bit (direct from Microsoft). I have tried re-downloading the image, burning the image rather then running it with magic disc, copying the files directly on to the server and running the install from there. I am completely out of ideas and any help would be greatly appreciated. The server hardware specs are as follows: HP ProLiant ML350 G5 Dual Xeon E5420 processors (8 cores total) 5GB RAM Thanks for any help!
