I am slowly wrapping up the move to 2007 but am faced with a problem.  The setup is a Barracuda facing the outside sending email to a Edge server and a 2003 exchange server and a 2007 exchange server.  The Edge server is able to receive email and send it on but if I shutdown the old 2003 exchange box the mail queues at the Barracuda.  I checked to see if I put the correct address in the Barracuda where to send the mail to and it is correct.  If I shutdown the Edge server the mail queues at the Barracuda.  Am I correct to deduce that the old 2003 exchange server is the link between my Edge server and 2007.  Does anyone else have a similar setup?

Thanks

For inbound email it shouldn't matter. The email can be delivered to any server in the Exchange org. Once that has happened Exchange will deliver the email.
For outbound email Exchange 2003 can get in the way due to the support for the legacy routing groups and SMTP connectors.

Simon.
