Hi guys,

Just having a problem with my outlook webmail. When I select Client Premium and public or private computer and login to my webmail account in IE6 or 7, the buttons on the top tool bar like New, Move to, Reply and Log off dont work. When I click on the NEW button and try to send an email, I get operation aborted or operation failed. When I open an email and click on reply or forward buttons I get the same error. I also see "error on page at the bottom left of the window. I am running Exchange 2003 SBS. Let me know if you need further clarification on providing with an answer.

Thanks,
tranbadu

Is the server fully patched for Exchange? Not just Service Pack 2, but the additional patches?
Have you re-run the Configure Email and Connect to the Internet wizard (or whatever it is called) again to ensure that the settings are correct?

Simon.

thanks for replying. the server hasn't been patched due to the fact that there is not enough space on the C drive. I am quite afraid to re-run CECIW i think it's called, cause i feel like it could just screw up the server. since it's a production server i am not comfortable with doing that, but perhaps i should try.

thanks,
tharaka

If the server hasn't been patched then that is the problem. There have been a number of updates which you are missing.
The wizard should also run successfully - if it does not then you need to resolve the problems. SBS is designed to be managed by the wizards.

Identify what is taking the space and move data if required. There are plenty of KB articles on how to move the SBS data directories to new locations in the correct way. Patching a server exposed to the internet isn't an optional task. You need to do it to ensure the server is secure.

Simon.
