I've deployed some new E2K7 servers now it everything incl OA works fine. I just wonder, if it's possible that Outlook 2007 clients can switch between OA and normal internal AD use without the users have to change settings in Outlook?

The proxy server (as seen from the outside, ie mail.domain.com) is not available to inside clients, due to NAT on my CAS servers. I have a lot of users that sometimes travels outside and it would be great if they can just open Outlook and use OA whenever outside the LAN without changing settings

Setup your internal DNS so that when the client is on the inside there is a DNS entry that matches the external DNS but points to the CAS role internal address.

mail.domain.com (public DNS) = 1.2.3.4
mail.domain.com (private DNS) = 10.10.10.10

Yes, you may need to create an internal zone that matches your external zone, and populate it with the requisite sites that clients need to get to outside of your LAN.

Autodiscover should do that for you, if it is configured correctly. It certainly does for me at home. At home I am on RPC TCP/IP, away from home I am on RPC HTTPS. I don't touch my client. If that isn't happening for you then look at what autodiscover is doing.

Simon.
