freeplay -> Single workstation cannot access Public Folders (24.Jun.2008 11:12:29 AM)

Good Day,  I have a unique situation where a single user on a single workstation using a mapi client (Outlook 2003) cannot access public folders (Exchange 2003).  We have logged the user into another workstation and configured outlook the same and access is working.  Outlook on the first workstation is not configured for cached mode.

I am at a loss as to where to look for the source of this issue.

TIA

Any more details on this? Does it give you error message? Do you even see expandable Public Folders object in list of folders in Outlook?

The only error is the pop up stating that Public folders are not accessible, he can see the root of public folders only.  Nothing is actually logged in the event logs on the workstation.

Does it follow to another user on the same workstation?
If not then the problem is with either the Outlook or Windows profile.
If it does follow to another user on the same workstation then wipe the machine. I find nothing else works for Outlook related problems.

Ahhh yep I'll try that, if it is only that one user profile any ideas what might be the cause.

If it is a single user profile I don't bother troubleshoot. Not worth the hassle. Create a new profile and move on. Windows and Outlook profiles get corrupt - fact of life.
