delpaggio -> Recipient address rejected: User unknown in relay recipient table (26.Jun.2008 9:23:56 PM)

Hi Everyone.

Hoping you's can all help me.  The problem I'm having is 2 weeks ago we had an exchange database corruption. we had to build a virtual machine to restore it to so we could exmerge. because when we tried exmerging from the recovery storage group it said that the mailbox GUID was different.

Well we got the mailboxes restored eventually after deleting the exchange attributes creating new ones and then exmerging from the virtual server to the new one.

Now the problem I'm having is :

A> the mailboxes are only accepting the original SMTP address that is created and not their additional ones. When I try sending an email to anyone there I get a reply saying

<MyServer #5.5.0 smtp;550 <Client email address>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in relay recipient table>

any ideas there?

B> I know this one doesnt belong here. but when they try to archive it doesnt do anything.

Thanks in advance

did you delete the exchange component from the user account? and reconnect it when you restore it?

Hi,

I removed the exchange attributes and recreated the mail boxes on the new server

Do you have any SPAM filter in the mail route? Are users able to send/receive internally using the secondary email addresses?
