I hope someone can help, this issue is driving me mad.

I'm running Exchange 2000 & IIS5 on an SBS 2000 Domain Controller (not my choice).  All my users are in the "domain users" group.

If I add my users to the "Administrators" group - OWA works, they can log in.  If I remove them from the "administrators" groups, they can't log in - just keeps asking for the username / password three times then says "Access Denied".

I can't leave all the users in "administrators" as this affects the permissions on certain user folders (our CEO and Head of Finance have restricted access on their data files).

I've granted "Access this computer from the network" and "Log on locally" permissions to the "domain users".

I've added "Domain Users" to the Operators List in IIS5

Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks in advance

IIS4 and 5 required the Log On Locally right for Basic Auth, but you've already done that, so I'm not sure why it fails.  However, one thing you might try is to enable only Integrated Authentication on the Exchange VDir.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.  I rebooted the Server yesterday morning (AV update required a reboot) and since then it's worked fine.
