canibal -> Email path Beetween ISA and SPAM Filter (3.Jul.2008 9:01:02 AM)

halooo

I've exchange2k3 with Isa 2004 to publish SMTP and OWA
cause so many SPAM form Outside so I decided to put ANTI SPAM (IRONPORT)

                         Router Internet
                                  |
                       -----------------
                       |                        |
                 Anti Spam             ISA
                        |                       |
                       -----Switch----
                                    |
                    Exchange Server 2003

On my Purpose iwould like to separate traffic outside/inside via antispam
now mya incoming mail succeed via antispam but my outgoing mail still via ISA.
did i have to set something in exchange.

Please Advice

Regards
Azies

Apologies - I am not able to understand your question.  I'll have a clearer picture if you answer the following questions:
What do you want your internal messages to do?
What do you want your inbound external messages to do?
What do you want your outbound external messages to do?
How many Exchange mailbox servers do you have?

[:D]

i'm sorry for bad Picture

ok i'll write down by answering your question

1. What do you want your internal messages to do?
--- i want my internal massage like usual, able send /receive email from internal or external

2. What do you want your inbound external messages to do?
--- I want my inbound external massage coming via AntiSpam not ISA.

3. What do you want your outbound external messages to do?
--- I want my inbound external massage go out via AntiSpam not ISA.

4. How many Exchange mailbox servers do you have?
---just one exchange server 20003

im very sorry if my answer did not clearing you,but for one more information that my existing infrastructure ( SMTP and OWA publishing use ISA server 2004).

Open the properties of your SMTP connector that is sending your outbound messages to the Internet.  On the General tab, change the setting to forward all mail to a smarthost, then enter the name or IP address of your Ironport device in the field.
