Hi everyone,

I'm trying to migrate groupwise to exchange, I have 2003 installed and then 2007 as well. 2007 will house all the mailboxes, 2003 will act as the connector with groupwise. I want to test to ensure that 2003 and 2007 will talk and can route mail to each other. I created a mailbox on 2007 which worked fine, then I created a mailbox on 2003. This didn't go very well. It will not process the exchange attirbutes and will not give that user a mailbox. I get the following in the event log on the 2003 server can anyone help me?

Just wanted to add to the above post I made. Before I ended my day today at work I created a new recipient policy on the 07 server and applied it to all the mailboxes. The exchange attributes for the 03 users and 07 users were all updated. Now I can log into both servers and users and mail does route between the two servers. Exchange 07 can see all the users in its gal once all attributes are populated. however 03 users cannot. Please note that there are only 6 users defined between the two servers.

Hiya chap - I encountered a similar issue (although not using GroupWise) - have a look at: http://telnetport25.wordpress.com/2008/08/04/the-recipient-update-service-and-exchange-2007-it-broke-a-bit-event-ids-8270-8315/ - see if that helps.

Cheers

A

Hey,

Thanks for yout tip there, although I didn't really try it. I had forgotton to run the setup /preparelegacyexchangepermissions before I ran the 07 setup. Running that the the domain prep again on 07 setup fixed the issue for me.

Now I'm having GW problems with getting the API working properly
