I am having some extreme difficulties setting up the SMTP connector in my exchange Org. Exchange in installed with HT, CAS, MBX properly, but some how when I send mail to external addresses (eg Yahoo.com) I keep getting message from Postmater@mydomain.local that my mail is delayed. and yet no mail goes out. I can send mail to other users in my domain. another problem i have is this. looking at the postmaster address, why is that showing @mydomain.local ? Can someone help me please urgently, this is a real life saver? the Error message I am also getting when trying to add a new Recieve connector is below. -------------------------------------------------------- Microsoft Exchange Error -------------------------------------------------------- The following error(s) occurred while saving changes: set-receiveconnector Failed Error: When the AuthMechanism parameter on a Receive connector is set to the value ExchangeServer, you must set the FQDN parameter on the Receive connector to one of the following values: the FQDN of the transport server "MBX001.mydomain.local", the NetBIOS name of the transport server "MBX001", or $null. -------------------------------------------------------- OK --------------------------------------------------------

Hi, You should create a send connector. The receive connector is for receiving e-mails just like the name says. The send connector is used for sending mail to outside your organization. You can create a send connector as follows: - open the EMC - open the organization configuration and select the hub transport - select the send connectors tab - click somewhere in the white space and select the option new send connector - follow the wizard, when asked for and address space fill in *

I am concern that my postmaster address is readin as postmaster@mydomain.local instead of mydomain.com where can i change or set the internet address for my domain?

Hi, For this you should modify the default e-mail address policy and add the external domain or create a new one and give it the lowest priority.
