Hi

I have this problem I have 6000 users in a 2003 AD and then I have a Exchange 2007 invironment where I'm suppose to create mailboxes for these users. I've tried the solution provided at http://exchangepedia.com/blog/2006/11/exchange-server-2007-bulk-creation-of.html but when i tried that I got this error message from powershell console:
New-Mailbox : The argument cannot be null or empty.
At line:1 char:54
+ Import-CSV xusersdk.csv | foreach {new-mailbox -alias  <<<< $_.alias -name $_.name -userPrincipalName $_.UPN -database "Mailbox Database 1" -org Users -Passw
ord $Password}
New-Mailbox : The argument cannot be null or empty.

+ Import-CSV xusersdk.csv | foreach {new-mailbox -alias  <<<< $_.alias -name $_.name -userPrincipalName $_.UPN -database "Mailbox Database 1" -org Users -Passw

What could be wrong ?? What could've been forgotten ?? Would appreciate any help !!!

best regards

Kent

Is the Alias blank in your CSV file? Can the script find the CSV file? You may need to specify the location of the CSV file such as "C:\MyCsv.CSV".

If you want to use the GUI then you can create add dsa.msc into the mmc in 32 bit format so that you can view the Exchange Advanced and the Exchange features tab in the ADUC.

c:\windows\system32\mmc.exe -32 dsa.msc
