I have a user that is trying to move emails from her inbox to her personal folder. She gets an error "Cannot move the items. The item cannot be moved. It was either already moved or deleted, or access was denied." We are using Outlook 2007/Exchange2003 sp2. The error happens either when she tried to click and drag or right clikc move. Please advise.

I have also seen this happen if a particular item is corrupted in some fashion. You'll be able to determine if this is the case if you reduce the number of items being moved until they actually move. Eventually you'll get to the point where a single message refuses to move. You can also test by attempting to move that message to a different folder (including Deleted Items). If it still refuses to move, then your choices are to keep it in the mailbox as is, or bypass the Deleted Items folder by using Shift-Del.

It seems that your Outlook PST file is corrupted.Other possible reason could be the insufficient permission problems or attainment of maximum file size limit of the target folder. If the target folder is an archive PST and has ANSI format, its allowed file size limit is 2 GB. Try to delete the unwanted data from an over-sized .pst file and then compact it to reduce its overall size.
