Hi All,

I'm having this problem of being not able to send/recieve emails more than 5mb. I'm running Exchange 2003 on Win2K3 server. I've set Global, User, SMTP Virtual Server, connector message limit to 15360kb (15MB). I test send a 7MB email and check the tracking center. Results as below

SMTP: Message Submitted to Advance Queuing
SMTP: Started Message submission to Advanced Queue
SMTP: Message submitted to Categorizer
SMTP: Message Categorized and Queued for Routing
SMTP: Non-Delivered Report (NDR) Generated.

The NDR as below:

This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipient's mailbox is full. Create a shorter message body or remove attachments and try sending it again.
<mailer.XXXXXX.com #5.2.3>

The error from event viewer as below:

An error occurred while Microsoft Exchange Intelligent Message Filter attempted to filter a message with ID <D7E34616DB681A44B370531939630C233AC72E@server.domainname.com>, P1 From smtp:XXXXX@domainname.com and Subject FW: 7 mb. This message will not be filtered. The error code is 0x800710f0.

Is there anyway to set the email limit to 15mb?

Looks like a local user, checked the user side limitations?

You can ignore the error in event id 7515 as IMFv2 generates this error because he cannot scan messages above 3MB.

Check if the remote Exchange user has set any delivery restrictions set on a maximum incoming message size. Check if other users are able to send/receive emails more than 5mb
