cenixy -> AntiSpam Agents Hidden (11.Nov.2008 4:17:21 PM)

I installed the antispam agents o a single Hub Transport server using the ./install-antispamagents script, and received the successful installation message, but when I opened the EMC only the IP Allow List and IP Block List was visible, and enabled. Where are the other 6 agents? When I run the get-transportagent command from the PS, they are all listed and Enabled. How can I get them to be visible from the EMC?

I sure its an easy fix, I just cannot seem to find it.......

Hi,

Restart The MS Exchange Transport service and Re-open Exchange Management Console.

To be Honest i have never heared this issue........
by the way how many exchange 2007 servers do you have and what are the roles installed on them.?

Restarting Transport is all that is required.
Otherwise I would have to suspect that the script didn't run correctly.
Run it again and restart Transport immediately afterwards.

Of course you will be restarting your server in the next day or two after installing the updates for this month, so the antispam options may appear then.

Figured out my mistake. The agents were there, I was just blind, and was looking in the wrong place.

why would he need to restart the server after the spam updates are applied?  we dont restart the server after applying spam updates with 2003

At the point this question was posted, it was close to patch Tuesday. Therefore other updates would be installed requiring a server restart. Antispam updates do not require the server to be restarted.

Simon.
