From your image I cannot modify the top portion

"All i want you to do is run the command to delete the existing RGC and Exchange 2007 and re-create it. "

Where will I do this? On the new EXC2007 or on Exc2000?

And from one of the workstation, test was successful, mail did go thru. I can rcv(from cli of one local desktop) and can reply back(from outlook client on 2007 and the direction is E2K7 client sending to E2000 client). When I replied back from E2000 client using outlook on e2000 is not good, no receive message on inbox on the outlook client logged is as the new user on EXCSRVR2007. It must be queued somewhere.

Have you removed the smart host from the SMTP virtual server?

Simon.

Some thing of the sort mentioned in the clipping below (except this one is seen on E2k7 AG and you would have to locate the same on E2k AG)

Why are you using ESM to work with E2k7 - when I clearly requested you to work with SHELL for E2k7.

USE Exchange System Manager to delete Routing Group Connector ONLY FOR EXCHANGE 2000.

Where will I do this? On the new EXC2007 or on Exc2000?

Of course the command has to be run on Exchange 2007 - shell isn't used on Exchange 2000 - right ??

Im now back troubleshooting my mail again. I had to stop and help two clients on BGP router installtion and the other with IPSEC L2L.

Using ESM on 2000 now I don't have a pair of connectors. under Exchange Admin groups Routing group and "ANovato" Routing group. Still one way communication

Will do you you suggested.

Thank you Sembee and Exchange_geek.

After I created new routing connectors on E2k7 the pair of connectors cameback.

New-RoutingGroupConnector -Name "InteropRGC"
-SourceTransportServers "EXCSRVR2007.mydomain.local" -TargetTransportServers "EXC2000SRVR.mydomain.local" -Bidirectional $true .

Mail are flowing both ways locally and I can now rcv mail from both internet and local on E2000 and E2K7 clients . Local mail is vice versa but from the new client on E2k7 - now I can not send internet mail.

The only thing I did was remove the IP on the statement "smart host" on virtual server. I will leave it like that for now. I will continue troubleshooting the mail flow.

I feel I am getting real close

I can sleep now better. EVERYTHING works ok. Thanks to both of you. I owe you guys a lot.

The last piece I did was to create (was empty) a "sSend connector on the "Hub transport" (Organization configuration) name it to Internet and point it to the smtp relay IP.
