RE: outlook unable to connect to Exchange server - 28.Jan.2009 6:20:18 AM
I am pretty sure once you have your PF stores up and running and the PF hierarchy recreated; all your issues related to OL connectivity should go away.
But after creating the Entries using ADSIEDIT i didn't find the PF Tree ..under First Storage group. Because in the step number 17 17. Still within ADSIEdit, expand the Exchange 2007 Administrative Group | Servers | <servername> | Information Store | Second Storage Group I didn't find the seconf Storage Group . I have only first storage group mentioned there. So i performed the remaining step with first storage group.
and BTW TECHSUPPORT, How do i configure RPC over HTTPS in exchange 2007 ?
1. You have to define in your NIC a DNS server (e.g. the one of your ISP). If you only have a DNS server pointing to your internal Gateway, you will get error messages like you reported). 2. May be you should fix the IP Address, Subnet Mask AND the default gateway in your NIC. In some cases, if the Default Gateway has not been set, you may encounter the same error messages as you reported. See KB 913843 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913843
