I have 2 exchange servers in my company and I am trying to get them to send and recieve mail with each other. One of my exchange server is fully configured with all the functionality avaibale. My second exchange server is just a test server and currently can send to my production server and externally. But, the production server is not able to send mail to users on the test server. They are both on the same network and domain. How can I get the test server to recieve mail from my production server and from external users?

Also, if I don't have the RPC over https functionality installed on the test server, would that cause the communication issue?

In the Queue Viewer I get the MAPI error message 432 4.3.2 mailbox server is offline? What is this referring to?

Few basics,
From the second exchange server :
Try to send email for the users who are located in that exchange server only.

From the production server
Send one test email selecting the delivery confirmation options.
Track the message (Message Tracking)
Are you getting any NDR after enabling the delivery option?

Post that NDR

From the test server I was able to send a message to users that are located on that server.

From the production server, if I try to send an email to someone on the test server. The message gets stuck in the mail queue and that is when I get the 432 4.3.2 mailbox server is offline. So then I go to the mail queue on my produciton server and delete the message and have it send me the ndr of the message. Located below is the NDR:

hi mate,

as per the details you provided i feel like your mail is sitting out there for few minutes but it is not able to resolve the address information within those retry time and once you delete that message you will get that NDR

Try to increase the retry interval and other setting
