I am getting undeliverable emails due to failed rDNS/DNS verification from some mail servers.  Although I believe rDNS is configured correctly, I believe the problem lies with my Exchange 2007 SMTP Headers.  They do not match up with the public DNS record (mail.mycompany.net) and instead reflect my internal mailserver's name (servername.mycompany.local).

Every post I've read says that to update the SMTP Header all I have to do is to go into the EMC and change thd FQDN field of the Send connector.  Well, I've done this but my SMTP Headers are still incorrect.

mxi2p.craigslist.org #554 5.7.1 <unknown[70.98.246.21]>: Client host rejected: rDNS/DNS validation failed. Please setup matching DNS and rDNS records: http://bind8nt.meiway.com/itsaDNSmess.cfm ##

Original message headers:

John, good questions and yes, that IP is our MX record and I have cycled the Transport Service.
