Hi,

This problem has already been solved but I thought someone else might need it.

I recently had a problem with the MSExchangeTransport service on my loadbalanced CAS/HT servers.

When I ran the Test-ServiceHealth command it looked like everything was working but I couldn't send any mails and I couldn't start the queue-viewer. I thought restart the Transport service might solve it. Then I discovered that the Transport service couldn't be stopped, it sort of hanged in a stopping state and could only be stopped by killing the process.

I switched the log on account on the service to Local System Account (which is not recommended by MS) then everything suddenly worked. But since it should be Network Service Account I couldn't just leave it like that.

I then deleted the entire content of the queue-folder under Exchange/bin/TransportRules/Data/Queue, changed back the log on account to Network Service and restarted the service. The HTS recreated everything under the queue folder and the service now works properly.
