I've just been investigating some missing emails that have been sent externally into our domain.  There is an error message saying "Sendsizelimit:  Message too large for this sender"

Am I right in thinking that this is the external users problem and not ours?

Thanks

Did the Administrator from the other side message you guys with that message?  If the NDR originated from their own e-mail servers, then the issue would be on their side due to their size limits.  If the message hit your servers and your servers sent the NDR back, then the size limit is too small on your servers.

the message is shown on our server.

Just showing me FAIL/ROUTING/550 5.2.3 RESOLVER.RST.SendSizeLimit, message to large for this sender.  The sender is shown as the external user and our user as the recepient and the return path shows the external user.

The file is only 12mb and I know I've sent emails in from my external email address that are 12mb
