copy sent messages to another mailbox - 16.Feb.2009 1:51:40 PM

HR has asked me to setup a dummy mailbox where they can monitor a particular employee's email usage by having all messaged forwarded to this mailbox.  I am able to have messages forwarded to both mailboxes but I am unable to get the sent messages to copy over to the other mailbox.  I thought I could create a Hub Transport rule using the condition messages from mailboxA and the action copies message to mailboxB, but nothing happens?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Eric

I have tried "send blind copy messege to address" with no success.  I am using "send blind copy messege to address" for our share mailboxes and it works but I am basically BCC the same mailbox.

For incoming messages sent to mailboxA I went into mailbox options,  delivery options and forwarded messages to both forwarding address and mailbox. Sent messages from MailboxA I created Hub Transport rule with the condition "from mailboxA" and the action "blind carbon copy (Bcc) the message to mailboxB".

This is really starting to feel lika a bug.

I tried to use the redirect option but this also leaves a copy to the original senders mailbox.

It works like a charm if you use Journaling Rule which I guess is what you are trying to achieve in the first place but with Hub Transport Rule instead.

Since Journaling on individual mailboxes requires Enterprise CAL it would surprise me if it could be done with Transport Rules when you really should be doing this with Journaling Rules.

Yes as Jesper said, the only way to achieve this in exchange 2007 is by using the envelope jonrnalling rule at the Hub Transport servers.

We only have exchange 2007 standard edition.  I guees you need enterprise to journal a single mailbox.

Yes, you require Premium journaling to apply this rule on a single mailbox recipient.

And to use Premium journaling you require Exchange Enterprise Client Access License (CAL).

Just to be crystal clear on this - you need Enterprise CALs not Enterprise Exchange 2007.
