Hi,

Following up on a receent disaster situation I went through
http://forums.msexchange.org/m_1800504750/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#1800504750

I am considering the following scenario:

1. Delete restored DB [Already moved mailboxes to new one]
2. Create Recovery Storage Group
3. Restore from the Pre-Disaster backup
4. Exmerge (or archive) certain messages or mailboxes from RSG

My question is this: is it possible to manage restored DB in SRG even if the ORIGINAL DB doesn't exist anymore? [i,e; mailboxes EXIST on another DB].

Mounting a old database into RSG with no database exist is possible, however connecting those mailbox to production requires some administrative tasks.
