running WS2008 EE with all updates and running it as an AD/DC.

Problem is, when I try to install Exchange 2007 SP1 - I get to the "Select server roles" section, everything is grayed out but selected (most of the options) and when I press next, it says that I must select one or more server roles before continuing however a server role is selected but is grayed out.

??

Hi,

Have you installed all pre-requisites mentioned in this Microsoft KB article:

Hmmm.
if I do an unattended installation it seems to work. Example:

setup.com /mode:upgrade

however I did recieve a few errors in the eventlog about not being able to connect ?

Trying to then login via OWA doesnt work as it redirects me back to the login page saying that the session timed out.
however, after adding:
<identity impersonate="false" /> in the web.config of owa, it seems to be working fine now.

?! something is wrong somewhere. and I dont even know if SP1 is installed or not correctly :-/

oh i know this post is pretty old but we were testing out the exchange 2007 in test lab and had the same exact problem. I did have problems installing exchange 2007 on the server we had this problem. It crashed half way thru the installation of exchange 2007 but after restart we installed the roles on it and it worked.

I could not find the solution so im gona uninstall exchange 2007 and reinstall and try again with sp1 installation. Will post my finding.

:)
