does anyone know how to edit notes in owa?  it seems to only allow me to post/reply to the notes as if it was an email thread.  i just want to edit it just as i can in outlook client.  for this reason, i'm using tasks since owa allows me to edit tasks without posting new ones as replies.

hopefully exchange 2010 will support this, but i'm curious why it was never added in 2007 unless its by design.

It's by design.  They've never included this feature, because they decided that not enough people would want to do it.

Actually, it's very easy to do - I've done it in my own OWA addons.  Notes are one of the easiest things to change since they have very few properties (subject, body, colour, size and position on screen), but I have asked the MS Exchange team the same question; just out of curiosity since other people have asked the same question.  The reason they are reluctant to add something if they don't think there's enough demand is actually because of the localisation issues.  Basically, it's too much effort to translate the GUI into all the different languages.

I don't know where you'd send your request, especially since E2010 is in Beta.  Try posting in one of the exchange NNTP newsgroups, or contact your local MS office.

yeh i guess they have more important things to worry about.  but this is one of the basic features of owa that i feel is missing which makes owa a complete replacement for the outlook client.  if you don't mind pointing me in the right direction, some links, then i can try to create it my own addon for it.  or if u don't mind sharing ur addon, i'd be eternally grateful :)  i'm running exchange 2007

Well, I say I have an 'addon', but it's a complete OWA client in PDA format.  Not something you can bolt into your existing OWA.  It would only be of use to you if you absolutely 100% had to be able to edit your notes in a browser.  There's a demo if you wanted to try it; but like I say, it's not something that would enable you to do it inside normal OWA.
