Ok some background: Single Exchange 2003 server with numerous OL2003/2007 clients. Plenty of WinMO clients as well. 2 issues...when WinMO 6.0 came out, started getting dismissed reminders in Outlook like crazy. Refer to these KB articles: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/957208 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/961757 I held off applying hotfix 957208, but noticed that if you turn off Cached mode in Outlook, no more past due reminders. 2nd issue...OL2007 clients who create meeting requests thru an Exchange 2003 server with OL2003 recipients, these appointments will not be viewable in OWA and you would get HTTP/500 errors on the Exchange server when a Mobile user would try to sync that appointment. Refer to this KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938650/ Soooo, I checked my DLL's and they were newer than in 957208. The 961575 contains the latest DLL's so I installed that and it appears that all past due reminders have stopped. Also, all HTTP/500 ActiveSync errors have stopped. But now, my Exchange server is flooded with these errors: Event Type: Error Event Source: EXCDO Event Category: General Event ID: 8206 Date: 6/17/2009 Time: 7:11:06 PM User: N/A Computer: EXC1 Description: Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x80004005 while saving appointment. For more information, click http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp. Data: 0000: 48 72 53 61 76 69 6e 67 HrSaving 0008: 41 70 70 74 3a 3a 43 45 Appt::CE 0010: 78 70 53 74 61 74 75 73 xpStatus 0018: 3a 3a 5f 48 72 55 70 64 ::_HrUpd 0020: 61 74 65 52 4e 54 20 66 ateRNT f 0028: 61 69 6c 65 64 2e 20 4d ailed. M 0030: 61 69 6c 62 6f 78 3a 55 ailbox:U 0038: 72 69 65 6c 2e 43 6f 6c ser.name 0040: 6f 6e 40 6d 61 76 74 65 @domain_n 0048: 63 68 67 6c 6f 62 61 6c ame 0050: 2e 63 6f 6d .com It looks like these errors happen when a dismissed reminder WOULD likely pop up. I haven't not heard of any calendaring issues from my users. Plus, I cannot find this EXACT error anywhere "Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x80004005 while saving appointment." Nothing containing 0x80004005 as the error code. I have some EXCDO errors with 0x80040229 (kb articles refer to Exc2000 and virus scanning on the M: drive) and 0x8000ffff. I have no file level virus scanning being done on my Exchange server (I know, but I am the only one accessing the server and keep it up to date on Windows patches). I have turned up diag logging and not a darn thing extra is logged during these errors. These errors explode every night after midnight...right about the time that past due reminders would appear. Does anyone have any insight at all they can offer a guy? Thanks

Did you find a fix for this issue? Step by step we have done exactly the same as you (KB961757 Due to dismissed reminders appearing) and we to are getting bulk amounts of EXCDO errors after 12am. Also we are receiving the 0x80004005 errors. We are running Exchange 2003 SP2, the EXCDO errors started appearing after install of KB961757.

No fix yet man. If it's any consolation...the EXCDO errors have reduced after midnight. They now occur all day long. I have not had any end user complaints regarding calendaring issues however.
