Dear anyone,
My work place currently using exchange 2007 with windows server 2003.
Everything looks like okay for now. But on the same time i'm try to do backup and restore database under testing server. The backup is successful but i can't do a restore.

When i try to restore from the backup file, the restore process is success but nothing come out again in mailbox. Can someone please explain in details how is actually to do a restore? Do we need other third party application to support the restore process?

Please help!
Thank you

hi there,

nothing much happened. everything is look like a same. now i'm try using a third party software (external software) to do a recovery from the backup file.
But after i installed the software and wanna start the recovery, there's an error message pop out said that : MAPI or CDO is out of date or the mailbox list is not
in the active directory.

what is it means? i nearly give up with this problem. what should i do now?
please help me.is it because the software is the trial software and i'm trying on the trial server? the third party software is named Acronis.

your help really much appreciated.
thank you

Maybe you should try contacting the vendor of the 3rd party software and see what they say. Have you tried using Windows NTBackup to perform backup and restores? I have never had an issue with it!
