Hi,

We are preparing to migrate our public folder store from our old 2003 exchange to a new 2003 exchange server.

We tried to do this by setting up replication and use pfmigrate.
After a while something started to happen but the log drive on the target exchange server started to fill up rapidly.

After a few hours exchange dismounted the stores cause it hit the max logfile limit...
About 40gb and 8000 logfiles...

Is there a better/other way to migrate 100gb of public folder data??

Thanks!

hi mate,

You won't get any specific tool to control the log process of pf replication.
Another way which you might be thinking would be stopping the replication and create a another copy something like PST. (Might be not sure) This will work but the database size will increase heavily and more over permission will be loosed.

My suggestion would:
Check for the highly important pf data.
Replicate only those data (like few few data keeping the factor of your network bandwidth, cpu and disk usage)
Try to replicate the data during the business hours.

It will be bit slow process but i guess this should be your approach.
