hi all expert, i need help for my exchg 2007 installation. Currently, i try to install exchg 2007 in a new Win 2008 Ent R2. Win2k8r2 already run dcpromo become the global catalog. Current enviroment setting: 1 win2ksp4 (AD) - going to pull down - [online] 1 win2ksp4 with exchange 2000 (Global Catalog) - [online] 1 win2k8r2 (new AD) - [online] 1 win2k8r2 (Global Catalog) new exchange 2007 going to install - [online] so, as seens above, there will be 2 new unit of server going to replace the old win2k server. My plan was to install the new exchange 2007 in win2k8r2, then migrate the mailbox from the old exchage 2000 to the new box, then pull down the old server. somehow, during the installation of 2007, readiness checks show error: Cannot find at least on domain controller running windows server 2003 service pack 1 or later in domain XXXXXXXX.......... So, now, any way i can finish my exchange 2007 installation ? or my plan will not work ? Please advice...

hi mate, Can you please ensure that Your GC, DC & Schema Master pointing to Windows Server 2008. Because for exchagne 2007 you should have GC and Schema master running on Win2k3 sp2 atleast http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996719.aspx

hi mate, First of all as i said earlier - it should work fine but not able to get any hint why it is asking for windows server 2003 as GC or DC eventhough we have win2k8 R2. In your place i would try to create one test lab.. windows 2000 AD then Windows 2008 sp2 and then moving FSMO and finally just simply try to run Exchange 2007 Readiness Check (Here i will go with Exchange 2007 sp2 rather then going with Sp1)
