Hi everyone,

I installed Exchange 2010 on a single DC 2008R2.. all was fine, until recently I changed the IP address of the box. AD starts, IIS starts, Exchange starts.. all well you would say, however, when I start the management console (powershell or gui) I receive an error:

[server.rootdomain.local] Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client sent a r
equest to an HTTP server and got a response saying the requested HTTP URL was not available. This is usually returned b
y a HTTP server that does not support the WS-Management protocol. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troublesho
oting Help topic.
+ CategoryInfo : OpenError: (System.Manageme....RemoteRunspace:RemoteRunspace) [], PSRemotingTransportExc
eption
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : PSSessionOpenFailed

Any hints in to what is wrong? Since I'm managing Exchange now through Adsiedit.. and that is no fun at all :)

Regards
_R

Fixed,,.. well half..

I removed port 80 from the default website, and powershell/WinRM does not like that.. so adding port 80 back to the default website got me my consoles back..

Now for the next error:
an error caused a change in the current set of domain controllers. It was runnning the command get-organizationConfig

:)

After breaking my head for whole day with this error and trying all possible steps given from begining of this port. Finally i got this RESOLVED :-)
Just Reinstall ( remove and install again)    WinRM IIS Extension in Server Manager . Exchange managment console is working fine now.
