Hi There;

I have an exchange 2007 CAS server, 2007 Mailbox Server and a 2003 Mailbox Server. I installed certificate from Digicert on the CAS pointing to webmail.domain.org. On the Exchange 2003 I installed KB937031 to activate Integrated Authentication via ESM. I get a success status running Test-OutlookWebServices,OwaConnectivity,WebServiceConnectivity. Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity only works for mailbox on Exchange 2007. Running it on mailbox sitting on Exchange 2003 gives "ErrorCode>603< The server Servername.domain.local does not belong to a site.I installed Mobile Device Emulator and can sync to mailboxes on Exchange 2003 from it.

Thanks

Running those commands against an exchange 2003 server obviously will not work because those are commands not recognized by E2K3. What exactly is the problem?? What symptoms are you seeing??

I run the Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity cmdlet on Exchange 2007 for a mailbox located on an Exchange 2003 server and it fails with error "ErrorCode>603< The server Servername.domain.local does not belong to a site". When I switch from FE to CAS activesync does not work on mailboxes sitting on Exchange 2003.

Ok so simply put, the issue you have is that when you replace the FE with an E2K7 CAS, exchange 2003 users cannot use activesync??!!

What authentication method do you have enabled on the BE exchange 2003 server for the exchange virtual directory? Does activesync work for exchange 2007 mailboxes? What error message do you get when using an Exchange 2003 mailbox?

Tried Basic and also Basic and Integrated still does not work. Here is dump from the cmdlet resultes.

example, the Availability service URL) by contacting t

Use the set-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory cmdlet to set
the ExternalURL parameter on the virtual directory.

Hi de.blackman;

I managed to resolve my problem. Played around with the VD authentication and finally got a certificate error" The certificate chain does not end in a trusted root" To resolve this I disabled the certificate called Digicert High Assurance EV Root CA with expiry date 0f 11/9/2031 and now my activesync is working. But looks like the Test-Activesyncconnectivity does work for mailboxes residing on Exchange 2003 as I still get an error as above.

Thanks
