Hello all,

This is my first post and im sorry im asking for help straight away.

I have and Exchange 2003 Server. I have just created a new user in AD. The user can receive email, can reply as well however when i compose a new email its seems to send but the external recipient never receives the mail.

Existing users can compose and send new emails without any problems.

Any help would be really appreciated.

When you say it seems to send, does that mean the message leaves the Outbox and shows up in the Sent Items folder?

Check Message Tracking to see what Exchange did with the message.  Does it get delivered to SMTP?

Do you have any sort of filtering system that processes the outbound message?  Check its queues to see what might be happening.

Check the SMTP log - find the transmission sequence - did Exchange contact that external system?  Did all SMTP commands receive an OK response?
