We have an issue where a user A is sending out calendar appointment to user B, when user B accepts the appointment and sends a response back to user A. User B then recieves a system undeliverable message , but the message details it is underliverable to a completely different user that has left the company. This user did act as a PA for user A. I have checked user A's permissions, and because the user no longer exists in AD, I cannot remove her. I see two entries in user A's mailbox that could be this user that has been deleted, but all i see is the SID. When I try to remove the SID, I get a inherited permissions error (from the parent object). So I'm stuck, there seems to be a link between user A and this person that has left. But I'm unable to remove the link....

Help please !!

It's because the exited user was set up as a Calendar Delegate for UserA. Have UserA open Outlook and select Options under the Tools menu. Go to the Delegates tab. You should see one of two things.

1. You see the name of the exited employee. In this case, highlight the name and click Remove.

2. There are no names listed, but the checkbox below the empty name list is checked and grayed out. In this case, add a name to the list (any name will do). That will allow you to uncheck the box. Remove the name you just added.
