Folks,

We have a new Exchange box we are installing and I need to migrate the TLS connectors to the new box.

Is there a command I can use in the shell to get the existing connectors on my existing 2007 box?

Also - when creating connectors - you get prompted for:
Custom
Internal
Internet
Partner

Which one should be used if you are setting up TLS between companies - Partner?

Please advise.
Thanks.
-John

get-sendconnector | fl will list connectors created and out of which you will have to copy your TLS connector Identity and run the command again as.,
get-sendconnector -Identity "<TLS CONNECTOR NAME" | Fl, this will list out the configuration of the connector in which you are interested.

Regarding the Usage Type as which one to select, it depends on your requirement with the company that you are setting up this TLS connector(whether it is internal or internet).
Read more about connector Usage type here.,

sai_prasad,

Thanks for the info....

The one I am most interested in is the partner...... we use TLS with/between partner companies - this does not say anything about HUB transport servers..

Edge Transport server that sends e-mail to a domain to which you have established mutual TLS authentication

Partner

Mutual TLS authentication functions correctly only if the following conditions are true:
  • The value of the DomainSecureEnabled parameter must be $True.
  • The value of the DNSRoutingEnabled parameter must be $True.
  • The value of the IgnoreStartTLS parameter must be $False.

For more information, see Set-SendConnector.
