Hi,

I have a setup installed Exchange and AD installed in the same machine. There are two NIC's, One connected with PUBLIC network and Public ip's and another one connected with our LAN.

Heres problem i can able receive all the mails from internally and externally. But i cant able to send mails from exchange server. It was some errors showing 550 unable to relay. Can we use Public IP and Local IP on the same system, if so do we need to use any relay options?

Please let us know.

Thanks.

Post more information about that NDR.,is it 5.7.1 Unable to relay???
If you have 2 NIC's and each assigned with its own IP, check the binding order of the IP's and check the DNS server info in the Top NIC,

I would recommend not to have Public DNS server assigned to either one of the NIC's  but have these set in Forwarders in your DNS server,,hope it helps
