Hello All,

I have Four rather basic questions...

1. Is their a way to setup aliasis in exchange ie Sales@ourdomain.com deliveres to:
Salesmanager1@ourdomain.com
Salesmanager2@ourdomain.com
Salesmanager3@ourdomain.com
Salesmanager4@ourdomain.com
Salesmanager5@ourdomain.com

2. What is the best practice in regard contact lists/group lists?

I am getting a little mixed up in regard what exactly is the best way of doing this.

I want to be able to make contact lists that everyone can see/access but only a few can change.

3. Anti-Spam - This is where I get a little lost, I only have one exchange server so is it possible for me to do this? is this the Edge side of things?

4. Backup - I am a little lost as to the best way of doing this....

1. I want to do a backup every night onto a NAS drive of our Exchange DB
2. I want to be able to restore individual mail boxes - If I have a backup copy of our Exchange DB folder.. how do I go about just bringing back a mailbox and then restoring an individual email from this.

Thanks again for any help anyone can offer.

Simply add these SMTP addresses to e-mail address you have Sales@Yourdomain.com, letís say you made DL (distribution group and called it Sales@Yourdomain.com) Primary address (sending/From address is Sales@Yourdomain.com) you simply find this DL go to properties Click e-mail addresses and start adding the additional e-mail addresses you mentioned here to the same DL , by clicking add bottom and fallow the wizard.

Antipas for Exchange 2010 you need Third-party application , I like trend micro this does great job and foot print is pretty light (http://us.trendmicro.com/us/products/enterprise/scanmail-for-microsoft-exchange/) there are other similar ones out there if you Bing it I am sure you can find more information.
Backup you need third-party software again Backup Exec has version works with E2010 Bing this as well

The Edge is similar to smart host concept. The server sits in DMZ and acts as SMTP mail gateway. So mail comes and goes out touches this SMTP gateway. Same concept as hardware solution ( IronPorts, barracuda etc.) since this will introduce Extra $$$$ you might not need it, Edge is optional you are perfectly fine without it. Just make sure the Exchange server is being protected some decent antivirus and spam software
good luck
