jagnagra -> 2 Exchange Servers in same forest but different domains (11.May2010 2:13:25 PM)

Hi
I am trying to create a separate Exchange 2010 server in a child domain that we have configured. We have an existing Exchange 2007 server in our root domain college.ac.uk and have a child student.college.ac.uk domain. We have configured a separate DC for the child domain also.

However when we launch the EMC is still shows the college.ac.uk mailboxes.

We are trying to set up a separate domain for students and also an Exchange server for them so that we can keep the two servers apart enabling us to create policies specific to them and also to give them a username@student.college.ac.uk email address.

Is this possible and could someone point me in the right direction of what I need to do to achieve this.
Thanks

What is the other Active Directory domain for? Everything you've said so far gives me no cause to understand why you need two AD domains. I understand why you would want two SMTP domains for sure, but that's all.
