Do typical Exchange Server configurations that allow Outlook Web Access, also allow the Exchange Web Services (XML messaging via HTTP)? If EWS is enabled, then a URL of this form:
https://yourserver.yourcompany.com/ews/Services.wsdl
causes Exchange Server to respond with a fancy looking XML document. The authentication is typically via NTLM, rather than a form submission.

Of course, I guess there is no such thing as a "typical Exchange Server configuration", but I am looking for just a rough idea of whether it is typical to allow EWS (because it is very similar to OWA, without the nice page formatting), or not.

Thanks much, and I apologize if this is not appropriate for the OWA forum.
