Has anyone tried running 2010 UM in a resource domain? My 2007 Exchange resides in its own domain and we are migrating to 2010. We are looking for a replacement voicemail system on campus.

Also, what if there are other non-exchange mail servers involved in the senario? Would UM work for them? Would the voice mails still be sent to mailboxes that reside on different mail servers? Obviously, there would be some features that would not work for non-outlook\non-exchange users but what about overall?

Any thoughts at all on this would be very helpful..
