I've just completed migrating to Exchange 2010 from 2003. I have a few users that cannot login to outlook web app. They get the following message:

The user name or password you entered isn't correct. Try entering it again.

I've reset the password numerous times, compared user accounts, and am clueless at this point. Anyone have any ideas?

Look at their mailboxes in the exchange management console. Can you confirm they have user mailboxes and not legacy mailboxes?

That is correct, all mailboxes are "user mailbox", not "legacy mailbox".

Not sure it this the correct solution...but I had logon restrictions (per compute name) for the affected accounts. (We have a student population i'm tring to maintain). Once i removed that setting...users CAN login to Outlook Web App. If there is a better approach, please let me know, thanks.

Once you setup workstation restrictions, then the users will not be allowed to log on from any machine except the ones specified on their user account properties. I have seen many cases where users cannot log onto OWA externally (outside the network like from home or internet cafe) because of this setting!! Please use carefully!

I'll keep that in mind. I've been using the workstation restriction since exchange 2003 with no issue (for students). this must be a new "feature" of exhcange 2010. :)

Actually has nothing to do with Exchange. I have seen this problem since Exchange 2000 days. I guess you're just lucky no one experienced it or no one reported it to you !
