Hi,

This can because when you forgot to install all pre-requisits especially the IIS one.

You can install the missing IIS components using the following commands:

- Import-Module ServerManager
- Add-WindowsFeature NET-Framework,RSAT-ADDS,Web-Server,Web-Basic-Auth,Web-Windows-Auth,Web-Metabase,Web-Net-Ext,Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console,WAS-Process-Model,RSAT-Web-Server,Web-ISAPI-Ext,Web-Digest-Auth,Web-Dyn-Compression,NET-HTTP-Activation,RPC-Over-HTTP-Proxy -Restart
- Set-Service NetTcpPortSharing -StartupType Automatic

sorry to ask again but I tried to add those commands assuming it's added on the exchange shell the command "Import-Module ServerManager" and got this.

****
Import-Module : The specified module 'ServerManager' was not loaded because no valid module file was found in any modul
e directory.
At line:1 char:14
+ Import-Module <<<< ServerManager
+ CategoryInfo : ResourceUnavailable: (ServerManager:String) [Import-Module], FileNotFoundException
*****

how do I add servermanager?

First thing to verify is that you are running Windows 2008 R2!

Check this site as well:

I have the windows 2008 x64 sp2 (not R2) :S

as for the forum link I did all the processes but one

Download the Windows Management Framework Core for Windows Server 2008 x64 Edition package now. (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=d37e25cf-db05-4b23-a852-cdf865d81b82)

(Links on forum for this package does not existe looked for it on microsoft)

while installing it, it said that it was not for my version. :S

anywhere else I can find this file?

Thanks for the help.

Exactly! This post does not reflect the same issue you are having. What issues are you experiencing with your exchange server?

Your server is not the same configuration as the one mentioned in this posting. Try to always start a new thread please to avoid any confusion! Also give us more details to the errors you are receiving (if any), the configuration of your exchange environment (# of servers, AD sites and location of servers, etc.)
